Our Story
Mission Statement...
To promote the development of positive values and support the mental, educational, and spiritual well being of children and families in order to enhance their lives. Trinity Resources Unlimited, Inc. (TRU) is a community-based, equal opportunity, not-for-profit organization that sprang from the vision of two local churches in the Austin Community, in 1988. The two churches, Trinity Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor William Ivy, Sr. and High Mountain Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Jesse D. Jordan, and carried out by the current Pastor, Earlie Johnson formed a corporation to respond to the plight of needy children and families. In 1990, the corporation expanded to include Prince of Peace Baptist Church with Pastor W. L. Upshire and Union Hill Baptist Church with Pastor August Minor. Other churches that provided program support included Hope Community Advent Christian Church and Progressive True Vine Baptist Church.
